How to Enter

To enter the contest, please fill out our online entry form. Each entry must have a low resolution, non-copyrighted digital photo attached as a .jpg file and the entry form must be filled out completely. Each photo should be cropped close to the foal and measure 300 pixels high by 300 pixels wide and be no more than 50K in file size. Only one photo per entry will be accepted.

Incomplete entries will not be accepted into the contest and Equine Legal Solutions reserves the right to reject any photo entry due to poor quality, unacceptable content or noncompliance with contest rules.

How the Contest Works

Equine Legal Solutions will post each accepted entry on the contest pages of its website, and entries will be posted in the order received.

Each entry will be identified by the foal’s name, the foal’s breed, the owner’s name, the owner’s farm name (optional), and the owner’s city and state. If an entrant has indicated that their foal is for sale, this information, along with the entrant’s email address and/or telephone number, will be included next to the photo on the contest pages.

After all entries have been posted, visitors to Equine Legal Solutions’ website will vote for their favorites. Voting will begin the week of June 28, 2010 after all entries have been posted, and end at midnight Pacific Time on July 16, 2010. Each IP address will be entitled to only one vote per contest category. If more than one vote per category is received from the same IP address, only the first vote for each category will be counted.

How the Winners are Determined

Equine Legal Solutions will count all valid votes received via its website. In each category, the entry receiving the highest number of valid votes will be the winner. The entry receiving the second highest number of valid votes will be the second place winner, and the entry receiving the third highest number of valid votes will be the third place winner.

Announcement of Winners

On or about the week of July 19, 2001, Equine Legal Solutions will announce the contest winners on its website. Each winner will also be notified by email.

Distribution of Prizes

Following the determination of winners, Equine Legal Solutions will order the personalized prizes from its supplier. As soon as the prizes are received from the supplier, Equine Legal Solutions will mail the prizes to the winners via U.S. Priority Mail.

Contest Eligibility

This contest is open only to U.S. residents who are 18 years or older. Photos must be of 2010 equine foals – horses, ponies, mules, miniature horses and donkeys are all eligible. Entrants may submit only one photo per category, and each photo must be of a different foal. No professional photos will be accepted unless submitted by the photographer or accompanied by written permission from the photographer. If the entrant doesn’t own the foal pictured in the photo, the entry must be accompanied by written permission from the foal’s owner.

Use of Photos and Entry Information

Equine Legal Solutions will post each accepted entry on the contest pages of its website. By submitting a photo to Equine Legal Solutions, entrants agree to grant Equine Legal Solutions permission to post the photo on Equine Legal Solutions’ website and otherwise use the photo in any manner that Equine Legal Solutions deems appropriate. By entering the contest, each entrant also grants Equine Legal Solutions permission to list the entrant’s foal’s name and breed as well as the entrant’s name, the entrant’s farm or ranch name (if any), and the entrant’s city and state. If an entrant has indicated that the foal pictured in the entry is for sale, the entrant grants Equine Legal Solutions permission to indicate on the contest pages of its website that the foal is for sale and provide the entrant’s telephone number and/or email address. Equine Legal Solutions will not post entrant’s mailing addresses (or unless the entrant’s foal is for sale, the entrant’s email address or telephone number). Equine Legal Solutions will keep entrants’ information confidential except as specifically stated in these contest rules.
